Yesterday, I hit a rough spot in the novel. Rough because everything I wrote was utter crap, and I wanted to quit, pout about it, and rant and rail.
But I’ve been doing this long enough to know that crap is part of the work, and faith in the process means you continue, knowing it will get better—because over time, you sand it down into something that works.
And as I sat there, frustrated, I caught myself saying, “Hey, it will come, you will figure this scene out—you just haven’t figured it out yet.”
